I've tried the following alternatives to Fruity SF Player, my thoughts on them are below: I know the source code for the Fruity Soundfont Player is missing and thats why it hasnt been recompiled for modern 64-bit versions of FL Studio, but it seems that all the alternative soundfont player options are either buggy or annoying to use. The original was great in that it was simple, with no nonsense functionality.
It would be amazing (and overdue IMO) if the FL dev team could just remake the Fruity Soundfont Player and it's basic functionality for 64-bit FL Studio. The best way to use SF2's was previously with Fruity Soundfont Player, but it is no longer compatible with modern 64-bit versions of FL Studio. Soundfonts are still used today - especially in hiphop production.
